At the Movies
Saw Insomnia last night. Excellent drama/thriller starring Al Pacino, Robin Williams man, he's come a long way since Mork & Mindy, Hilary Swank, and the scenery/mood of Alaska actually, most of the shots were in British Columbia, I understand, but you get the drift.

The underlying theme is an examination of the line between good and evil, the path where ends don't justify means. Sometimes that line gets blurred, with all good intentions, but it doesn't change the fact that there is a line.

It used to be that there were three movies featured in coming attractions. Lately, there have been five to seven shown. That's too many for my feeble brain to remember, but, with the help of Yahoo and IMDB, here are the ones I can piece together.

The Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisters. Loved the book, the movie looks great and it stars Sandra Bullock as the daughter and Ellen Burstyn as the mother, Callie Khouri directing. June 7th Release

Road to Perdition. Tom Hanks, Paul Newman, Jude Law. Tom Hanks as a hitman? He's pretty amazing. July Release

The Bourne Identity. Matt Damon. From the Robert Ludlum book. June 14 release

Signs. Mel Gibson, M. Night Shyamalan directing. I like Mel, but it looked like too much mugging for an M. Night movie. Could be me.

Simone. Another Al Pacino movie, this time as a geek who creates a virtual movie star (but the rest of the world doesn't know she's virtual).

Seems like there was one more, but I can't drag it out for love nor money.
